Membership

Ross Valley Women’s League (RVWL) is a group of dedicated women from across Marin County that has a legacy of fundraising since 1965. In 2024 RVWL has evolved into a Friendship-based social group engaged in charitable social events. They also gather several times a year for social events, forging strong bonds and long-term friendships.

Individual RVWL Members will volunteer to host and plan one event during their first two years of membership...with a maximum of 12 volunteers...so that each volunteer will choose one month in the yearly calendar that they will host their event. These Host Volunteers will be responsible for all of the details of their event...including collecting the proceeds/profits of their event and delivering it to the treasurer. 

RVWL Event Volunteers will then be eligible to nominate their charity of choice in which the RVWL members will get to vote on at the end of the year party. The Social Director will deliver all proceeds raised during the year to the winning charity.

If a RVWL Social Event allows for a large number of participants, then members are encouraged to invite friends and other possible candidates that they think would be appropriate for membership.

Membership Requirements

Our membership requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Payment of annual dues of $100

• Participate in at least two social activities planned for the year

• Host a social event within 2 years of membership

• Be sponsored by an active RVWL social member

• Submit an application detailing past volunteer experience and desired future volunteer commitment to RVWL social group

• Be approved by a majority of RVWL members

• If approved, new members may join February 15th or August 15th…($100 annual dues not prorated
